Pink Dog Digital recently launched a new website for SGodley Architects, a commercial architecture design firm located in Baltimore, Maryland.
About SGodley Architects
For 15 years, SGodley Architects has provided cost-efficient design solutions for projects across the Baltimore and Washington, D.C. area. SGodley founder Shamika Godley is one of approximately 500 licensed black female architects in the United States (out of 170,000 licensed architects nationwide).
Website Design for SGodley Architects
For the design, Pink Dog Digital created a clean and vibrant aesthetic that highlights past SGodley Architect projects. Because the client only serves commercial and government clients, those two features are prominent on the homepage. We included a blog, a testimonial carousel, and a project portfolio. It was important to also include logos for current and past clients, as well as logos for all associations that SGodley Architects belongs to. The navigation bar at the top includes more detail about SGodley’s services, process, past projects, and a Contact Us form.
Search Engine Optimization
An important facet of any functioning website is a strategy that prioritizes search engine optimization, or SEO. The Pink Dog Digital team created SGodley’s website with SEO functions in mind, including backlinking on the homepage and interior pages of the site. Google is able to see the full structure of the website when designed this way. We also made this website very accessibility-friendly for individuals with vision impairments. Website accessibility has become a bigger topic of conversation as some companies are being sued for not making their websites ADA compliant.
