New Website Launch: Guidon Law
The team at Pink Dog Digital is proud to unveil a new website for Guidon Law! Formerly known as the Law Office of Andrew P. Gross, Guidon Law specializes in advocating for the rights of veterans who have been disabled while serving our country. Guidon Law works tirelessly for our veterans, and our website design will help them in their mission. Our design combines elements of great UX, accessibility, and foundational SEO – and we’re very pleased with the way the final site turned out!
Site Design
For this website, the experts at Pink Dog decided on a clean interface that uses the power of white space. White space is often overlooked in web design – it’s not as flashy as a video or other graphics. However, skillful use of it can really make a big difference as it allows the eye to really take in the information on the screen, without distraction. Veterans law is a notoriously difficult and confusing field, so the white space used throughout the Guidon Law website really allows for the clarity of the written content to come through.
However, a website with just a lot of white space can be a little boring! So, the website does feature some graphics to draw the eye. Notably, above the fold on the home page, we used a slideshow with a simple zoom-in/zoom-out and a blue filter. According to color theory, blue evokes feelings of trust, calmness, and friendliness – all qualities that clients associate with the team at Guidon Law!
The website also features a simple interface with buckets that lead out to key pages where users can find information. A FAQ page highlights some of the most common questions relating to VA disability compensation, and there is also a blog for content updates to keep the site relevant to the Google algorithm.
